Deanna Larson

Deanna Larson has over twenty-five years of leadership experience within Avera Health’s integrated health system, based in Sioux Falls, S.D.  For the past twenty-eight years, Larson has led Avel eCare through a period of expansive growth to where the virtual care provider is now serving more than 600 sites in 32 states.

With Larson’s strong vision and leadership, Avel eCare has transformed health care delivery by improving recruitment and retention of providers, increasing access to critical services, and enhancing the quality of care while decreasing costs.  She has devoted her career to ensuring rural populations receive high quality care when and where they need it, saving lives and keeping care local. Larson’s experience includes multiple nursing leadership roles in the areas of acute care, critical care, behavioral health, long-term care, home care, and spent more than 15 years as the Vice President of Quality Innovation for Avera Health. Larson holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
