Ashlie Hilbun, MSW, EdD, CFRE serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Arkansas Children’s. In her role, she works closely with senior leadership and the system’s board of directors to guide implementation of Arkansas Children’s strategic goals and objectives. She leads planning efforts, advancing business strategy and oversees marketing and communications for the state’s only pediatric health system. She is responsible for new business development and outreach focused on advancing child health initiatives as part of Arkansas Children’s bold new promise: Unprecedented Child Health: Defined & Delivered.

Hilbun previously served as Vice President of Philanthropy at Arkansas Children’s Foundation, co-leading the system’s overall fundraising strategy and crafting external messaging and storytelling. Before joining the Arkansas Children’s team, she led development and external relations for the University of Arkansas’ J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, where she served as a thought leader in coordinating strategic program development with leadership philanthropy and advocacy. She also worked in disaster recovery in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

Hilbun has an established track record of success in creating impact for the organizations she serves. Her work in pediatric healthcare, higher education and disaster recovery have all centered on three approaches – demonstrated excellence in broad-based program design and development from concept to training to implementation; disciplined and coordinated strategic communications, program development and philanthropy; and effectiveness in distilling organizational work plans, translating strategic work for public consumption and cascading communications among governance, leadership and workforce.

Hilbun earned a doctorate of education from the University of Arkansas, holds a masters of social work from Tulane University and is a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport. She currently serves on the Easterseals Board of Directors; the HealthTech Arkansas Strategic Advisory Board; and the Sam M. Walton College of Business Executive Education Advisory Board.
