William Beninati
Dr. Beninati is a critical care physician who, along with an administrator dyad partner, leads the Intermountain Healthcare telehealth program. This is a comprehensive program with over 800,000 patient encounters, spanning from direct-to-consumer programs, to advanced inpatient programs delivered through 1,200 acute care beds equipped with telehealth endpoints. The program also includes the patient placement and transfer functions for a 24-bed healthcare system, and a 10-aircraft air medical transport program. He is an active researcher in the field of computer vision machine learning in critical care, as part of a collaboration with Stanford University, where he is appointed as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine (affiliated). Dr. Beninati is a retired Air Force colonel, following a 24-year career that included 13 years as physician leader for the Air Force-wide Critical Care Air Transport Team program, 5-years in command, and combat deployment experience in Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
