Samir Batra
Samir Batra has been in healthcare for 20 years and has worked with many global healthcare provider organizations in helping them achieve operational efficiency and implementation of their strategic plans. Majority of his work has focused on the patient experience, workflow and cost optimization and the effective use of engagement technology.
Currently, Mr. Batra is the Founder & CEO of BAHA Enterprises. BAHA is a boutique venture & advisory firm for early stage/growth companies & investors in health care. They use their deep healthcare expertise, network/connections to enhance due diligence & guide investment decisions, & spur innovation & growth. Startup advisory clients also get access to a network based collaborative ecosystem and a platform that provides validation (market assessment and end user feedback) of their solutions. Mr. Batra is also the co-founder and managing partner of HIP (Health Innovation Pitch) – a unique model that brings cross-healthcare industry investors and advisors to actively invest and advise early stage startups.
Prior to BAHA, he spent over 12 years in executive roles at start-ups (Oneview Healthcare ASX: ONE, CareInSync – acquired by Hearst Health – Zynx Health, pCare – TVRC, and GetWellNetwork) focused on applying technology to effect clinical and patient processes to improve the patient experience and drive engagement. Samir started his career consulting with The Advisory Board Company (now part of Optum) working with hundreds of provider organizations to drive operational and strategic excellence. Passionate about contributing to thought-leadership, he is active with HIMSS (NorCal Board Member and Advisor), ATA (Start-Up Health Advisor – American TeleMedicine Association), The Millennium Alliance (Advisory Board Member) and The Beryl Institute (Resource Advisory Council). He also holds multiple roles such as Vonzos Partners (Executive and Entrepreneur in Residence), NarrativeDx – a Press Ganey Company (Advisory Board Member), and eVideon Healthcare (Chairman of the Advisory Board).
