Sabrina Smith

Sabrina Smith is a Healthcare Executive and Research Administrator. She is the Executive Director for the Center for Applied Research in Telehealth of ATA. In her role, she is responsible for working closely with ATA members and partners to execute a long range research strategy that supports ATA’s strategic plan. Before joining ATA Dr. Smith was COO of Regulatory Affairs Society, she was the COO of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and served Assistant Vice President in a large not-for-profit health care system. Dr. Smith was a significant contributor to administering the National Institute on Aging (NIA) research program at Harbor Hospital, the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) Stroke program at Washington Hospital Center and many other notable projects. She served as the Administrative Director for the National Rehabilitation Hospital Health Services Research Center, working on several key research projects as part of the Managed Care Research Program. Dr. Smith is a Certified Research Administer and has administered over 1200 industry trials and 50 federally funded clinical and health services grants and contracts including a conference grant from the Center of Disease Control and most recently a PCORI engagement award and in conjunction with Tufts University a cooperative agreement from the USDA. She has served as a Director on numerous non-profit boards.
