S. Elissa Altin
Dr. S. Elissa Altin is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at Yale University. She is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, completed internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and cardiology fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. Now, she is an active interventional cardiologist at both Yale University and the affiliated Veterans Administration Hospital where she applies evidence-based therapies to veterans with peripheral artery disease and is engaged in patient-based research on the use of telemedicine in evaluation and treatment of chronic limb threatening ischemia and novel applications of peripheral vascular rehabilitation to treat claudication. Her goal is to increase rural veterans’ access to care to improve quality of life and ultimately decrease amputation rates.
