Lea Sims is Global Practice Lead for Verizon’s Healthcare, Insurance and Life Sciences vertical, supporting the organization as SME, thought leader, and marketing strategist to support Verizon’s wireline and wireless portfolio capabilities as well as the company’s 5G-centric innovation goals for healthcare. Prior to coming to Verizon, Sims was interim CEO and Executive Director for Professional Practices for the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity. She spent 20 years as an HIM service owner, allied health professor, and association executive, advocating for clinical documentation standards and patient safety.
