Jeff Guy
Jeffrey S. Guy, MD, MSc, MMHC, FACS was appointed to the role of Vice President of Emergency and Critical Care Services and Clinical Excellence in 2017. Guy provides strategic and clinical leadership across multiple disciplines, including trauma, emergency, burn, and critical care services. Guy also leads HCA’s Clinical Analytics and collaborates on value-based programs with HCA’s Payer Contracting Alignment Group.
Previously, Guy served as the Chief Medical Officer of the TriStar Division of HCA. Prior to that role, he was Chief Medical Officer of TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Dr. Guy joined HCA in 2012 as the founding CMO for the Children’s Hospital at Centennial.
Before joining HCA, Guy was Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of the Regional Burn Center at Vanderbilt University. Guy has published numerous articles and textbooks in the areas of trauma and prehospital emergency care.
Guy obtained his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University, and he trained in General Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Akron General; Research Fellowship at Case Western Reserve; Surgical Critical Care, Trauma, and Burn Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
