Carlene A. Mayfield

The focus of my research is to apply novel evaluation strategies and related technological innovations to understand the link between social determinants of health and clinical health outcomes within public health and healthcare systems. I collaborate with community-based programs, healthcare practitioners, and academic partners to design data governance and evaluation plans, develop grant applications and manuscripts, and leverage advanced, opensource technology solutions for common data challenges.

I have a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health and an MPH in Social and Behavioral Health from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
